Router-on-a-stick: the simplest inter-VLAN routing lab

If you're studying for the CCNA, this is a great first lab. One router interface, one trunk, two VLANs.

Code:
interface GigabitEthernet0/0.10
 encapsulation dot1Q 10
 ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0

Set the switch port facing the router as a trunk, put hosts in VLANs 10 and 20, and they should be able to ping each other. What are you labbing in Packet Tracer, GNS3, or on real gear?
