A recent Windows 11 security change caused problems for users trying to connect Texas Instruments calculators through TI Connect CE.
The issue centered around Windows blocking or refusing the existing TI USB driver, which left some calculators undetected even though the calculator, cable, and USB port were fine.
The good news is that Texas Instruments has since updated TI Connect CE. The current release is TI Connect CE 6.1.0, released August 18, 2026, and TI officially lists it as supporting Windows 11.
If you were affected by the earlier driver problem, the proper fix now is to install the latest TI Connect CE release rather than relying on workarounds such as temporarily disabling Windows driver-signature enforcement.
TI also recommends reinstalling the latest version of TI Connect CE when troubleshooting calculator connectivity problems.
So if your TI-84 Plus CE suddenly stopped communicating with Windows 11, update TI Connect CE first before tearing apart drivers, cables, or USB settings.
